The grass has reached the top of the bottle it still appears healthy. The water is even lower than it was last I checked it. There is condensation on the sides of the bottle. The water is see through but not completely clear. No signs of mold.

The bottle has condensation along the sides inside the bottle. The water is the same as it was earlier somewhat clear but dirt is starting to cling onto the string in the water. The water is lower than before and the seeds have sprouted and the plants have grown well almost to the very top of the bottle. Water has debris in it and it’s a little bit murky. Didn’t have a ruler but I think the waters only at 3 cm.

The string attached to the bottle has absorbed some of the water in the bottle so now the water is a bit lower. No hint of grass yet nor mold.

We received two 2 liter bottles that have been cut in half. Then we put gravel in the bottom half put half a string through the hole on the bottle top. We put dirt water and seeds in the top half and sealed the bottles together with tape. I’m hoping the plants will grow well and something unexpected occurs. We have reused bottles one half had a lot of dirt on it and I think it may grow mold.
